Field Development Plans (FDP)

What is FDP?

  • Field development plan is a strategy for the development of a field after it has
    been agreed that the resources can be commercially and economically produced
    based on a preferred selected concept.
  • The selected concept must be environmentally sustainable.
  • There are Procedural Guidelines that must be adhered to by the operator before
    approval will be given by NAPIMS in Nigeria for any project in its jurisdiction.
  • Each country may have its own guidelines for FDP and they should be referred
