Please note that many if not most of the books in this bookstore are in my personal library (and therefore may be
"dated"). The object here is to present some of the best books available on the subject that have been written from
the beginning of the project management discipline as recognized by the formation of the Project Management
Institute (PMI) in 1969. Therefore, a very few books may be from the 70's in the above list. More important, while
some things are fundamental and do not change rapidly, the software and IT side of the house has undergone
substantial change and has begun to embrace the project management discipline over the last decade. An
interesting fact supporting the dramatic changes is the new, explosive growth in membership for the Houston chapter
of PMI. It has more than doubled and most of the new members are in the automation, IT, and software
development industry. IF you know of a specific book that is not listed above and can significantly contribute to
understanding and applying the project development disciplines, please let me know. I am always seeking new
knowledge that can sustain mastery.
